few days ago I, by chance, read the following news :
The press office of the City of San Martino Sannita announced that Anna De Bellis, president of the Municipal Council, is the only Sunni selected for the course on 'Local Governance and the European Union' to be held in Rome from January 13 until the end of March ..... At the national level have been selected 150 people, De Bellis was found to be among them (the only local administrator of the Province of Benevento), thanks to the curriculum and the skills possessed .With all due respect to Ms. De Bellis, and I know where I could check the field capacity, in the competition (which can be read here ) seems it can be concluded that an assessment is not provided on qualifications and merit but for belonging to specific categories , in which Ms De Bellis had the good fortune to fall:
- 150 earnings administrators throughout Italy, mayors, councilors, advisors municipal and provincial not older than 45 years of age and are in possession of a high school diploma;
- 25% will be reserved for provinces and the remaining 75% to the municipalities.
- the selection will be based on principles of gender equality and adequate representation of all regions of the country.
- will be an advantage to the child age and membership of a municipality with a population less than 5,000 (five thousand) people.
The spread of this news seems directly related to the war between the majority and opposition posters currently underway within the administration of St. Martin Sannita and, specifically, at the last poster, a nice bright green color, which appeared on the walls of the town these days, which manifest in the current mayor thanked his predecessor for having missed the opportunity to access European funding to three, one of them of considerable magnitude , claims to have recovered under the act in good relations between ll'attuale city government and regional council housing (in this regard would be also interesting to see what these are and what type of financing arrangements for recovering lost now and well three years, if I remember correctly!).
Here, then, that the participation of the President of the Municipal Council in charge for a course whose objective is to provide skills to local administrators to develop design skills and make better use of funding opportunities offered by the European Union, it seems tempting opportunity to glorify an administration that is very attentive to European funding, not like the previous one!
